Community Center Design Charette

Please join the Community Center Committee for a Planning Charrette to be held September 27th 2014 at the LCC Longhouse in Eugene from 10:00am 4:00pm.
This charrette is an opportunity for all to look at our site and programs. Come help the community center committee incorporate the family's ideas on developing these important steps in the process toward making a recommendation to our fair's board of directors. Lunch will be provided, so please RSVP to if you plan to attend. Please make the subject line "PLANNING CHARETTE" and let us know of your dietary preferences.

Barter Fair Task Force Looking for Managers

The Oregon Country Fair Board of Directors has voted to bring back the Barter Fair for 2014, but mother nature intervened on site so we go again next year. We need help with a totally NEW Barter Fair 2015! The Task Force is calling for two people who are interested in taking on the volunteer roles of managing the Barter Fair.


  • Prior OCF volunteer experience (past leadership role preferred)
  • Market/festival vending experience (preferred)
  • Organizational, people and troubleshooting skills
  • Flexibility/ability to think on your feet
  • Good communication skills/3-chip interactions
  • Ability to work with operational crews and BFTF liaisons
  • Fully present and clear headed on Monday of Fair
  • Sense of humor

If you feel you meet these qualifications AND have read the current Barter Fair guidelines in the January *board minutes and the revision in the February *board minutes (also available on the * site), please send letters of interest to:

The Candidate's Forum is scheduled for Sunday, September 21 at the Hub Yurt on the Fair site. It will be approximately the same format as last year. It is to be filmed and put on the internet.
